hey all, I'm back from a freaking embarrassingly long hiatus. The past few months have been a very trying emotional period, involving exams and an ex-boyfriend. Anyway, I'm thankfully over and done with all that, finally, FOR REAL. He's attached to someone whom he loves, and I sincerely wish him well. Right now, I'll just enjoy singlehood and the rest of my holidays before I get my disgusting A level results. Sweet.

The family vacation to Italy and Switzerland was fun, even though I nearly froze my ass off on a couple of occasions. I will upload all my holiday photos on Shutterfly soon, I promise. The reason why I haven't done so is that I'll be flying off again this Sunday, to Doha. My Dad's gonna be working there for 2 years, and we're just gonna be there for 5 days to help him get settled. We, as in my Mum, brother and me. Anyway, that means I'll be spending Christmas there. I am told that the best thing about Doha is the exchange rate, which is kinda similar to the Singapore-Malaysia exchange rate. Ooo, so fun! Eek. I'll go research more about the place when I have the time..simply refuse to believe that such a thriving commercial city can be so dull! My main grouse is having to pack my luggage again when I just returned from a vacation around 2 weeks ago. Thankfully, the temperature there will be around 10 degrees. Not too cold, I guess, compared to -12 degrees in Switzerland (Jungfrau).

I've been reading Xiaxue's blog for the past few days, and I think despite all the flak she's received (e.g. being boring/ugly/ah lian, etc) she is undeniably an engaging blogger. Come on, you say she blogs about superficial, mindless, trivial, fluffy stuff? That's the sort of thing most Singaporeans love to read! I mean, I think it's really hypocritical to criticise her for being shallow when ALOT of people thrive on gossip, speak Singlish or some 'rojak English', dislike reading newspapers and other "serious" reading material 'cos it bores them, etc. Some people complain that she is a bad example for kids because she posts photos of her in skimpy clothes on her blog,and uses profanities and expletives abundantly in her posts. Hello?? As if today's children are so innocent! My goodness. At primary 4, my brother's schoolmates were already experts on PORN websites! And plenty of them know ALOT about masturbation, sez, condoms and even vibrators. And you think it's 'cos of her blog that they know all these? I seriously doubt it.
