People are really strange. They don't appreciate certain things, just because they think that there is always something better. They'll criticise, put down and scoff. Then when they realise that something better either does not suit them, or when they don't have a share of that something better, they return sheepishly, hoping that others didn't notice their earlier show of haughtiness.
This is when I go 'HAH.'

Anyway. I know someone who was in VJC for the first 3 months of this year. When her O Level results failed to make the cut, she appealed aggressively into VJC, using every appeal method available. Bottomline: she was determined to STAY in VJC, and not get shovelled off to some 'yucky' place like TJC. Haaaaa. She came to me for advice. Advice. So I tried to put it across in the most non-offensive manner possible, that her results were too lousy for VJC, and she should just try for TJC, which was the next best. I also added that alot of people with her grades were desperately appealing in TJ, so she should see the Principal ASAP. After a whole load of encouragement, and attempts to convince her that TJ is not as bad as most people think it is (TRUST ME. It's totally different from the usual perception.), she said, in this really really scornful tone, 'SORRY, but I DON'T LIKE TJ.' Okaaaay. Fiiiine.
Then you go appeal lor. A week later the poor thing was in the canteen of my school, looking all flustered and distressed. Why?
TJ don't want her lor. Classic example of not treasuring what you have.
Just a random thought bubble in my head.
