Happy Chinese New Year!

I’m soooooooo exhausted. Stress is taking it’s toll on my body--- I’ve lost 2 kilos since I came to TJC! Not that I’m complaining though. Again, I apologise for not blogging often. I’m not the kind of person who will make it a conscious effort to blog everyday, trying to make everyday mundane events seem really exciting and fascinating to everyone else. I just don’t see the point.

Yesterday, we had loads of fun during General Paper. I helped to prepare Chun Kiat and Francis for their ‘Becoming Famous People’ skit. They were Charlie Chaplin and Hitler respectively. Francis had to ‘sacrifice for his art’; we smeared gunk all over his spiked ‘do until it was totally flat and parted at the side. Poor guy. I think it was traumatizing for him---- all those girls watching! Hahah! Plus, he’s not exactly un-noticeable ‘cos of his imposing stature. Yas and I were joking that if he was in a war, they would spot him and shoot him first. HAH! Sorry dude…. While he tried (futile attempt.) to duck him head from the masses, Fatimah and I were busy snapping pics with our T630s. Pricelesssss.

Fati, Yas, Stanley and I had a 90 minute lunch break, ‘cos we don’t take econs (HAH! I don’t take econssss!)….and guess what? Our entire class skipped the econs lecture so that we could lunch at bedok central. Cool or what? It was fun watching the guys eat, even though it involved some cringing on my part. Jonathan eats very neatly. Shaun takes big mouthfuls. Francis eats like…my brother. As in, shovel shovel gulp gulp.

PW session was fun. We analysed a case study on team dynamics, and basically the antagonist was a ‘Mrs Ng’, incidentally the name of my (insert profanity) biology teacher. So, when we were told to comment on the mistakes made by the people in the case study, everyone condemned ‘Mrs Ng’. I think we sorta baffled the teacher, but what the heck. That woman makes biology SHEER TORTURE.

Next was CNY Carnival! My orientation group had a stall, so I went to help out. It was cool….we sold practically everything!!! Sara, Lingzi and Wuenyi came from their respective JCs. Teared abit when I saw Sara…I MISS THAT GIRL!!! Haa. Waited around for mass dancing to start, but it didn’t. I also played with Sharon’s little sis…she’s so cute and huggable!!!! And HYPERRRR. Piggie and Jianming were running out of breath just trying to race with her….she’s so incredibly sporting and friendly! I got CREAMED in the face by Vidhi. Then Sharon joined in. Then Xiaowei. So I got smeared all over, but I wiped my face clean. THEN, Jianming globbed my neck. Xiaowei sneaked around me, and WHAMMED this plate of cream onto my face. I was screaming hysterically…Sharon says that I’m an easy target…I’m just defenseless and helpless in the face off flying plates with cream. I mean, even if I did cover my face, they would have gotten the junk all over me. Oh wait, they DID.

Went for dinner after that. Weldon and Jingyuan, piggie’s friends from OAC joined us, and so did Puff’s secondary school friends. Weldon freaks me out. Number one: He weighs 50 kilos as well!!!!! I’m officially obese. Number 2: He acts so faggoty around Jianming (esp him.) and the rest of us….*shudder*. Nevertheless it was quite amusing to see J being freaked out.

I spoke to this guy, Bing Sheng, who’s actually my upstairs- neighbour! It was so scary!!! I mean, I know this person’s family; I even spoke to his dad three days ago! And I know that they have a skinny son who’s anti-social, but I haven’t seen his face properly. So, along came BS, who lives in the same block as me, whose house I walk pass every single day before I descend down the stairs to my unit on the 5th floor. It was such a shock when I asked whether anyone lived in Tampines, and he asked me my block number, and I told him, and he said, ‘That’s MY block!!’ Whew. Talk about a small world. It’s PUNYYYYYY.
